1. THE LIBRARY OF GROOVE - For Bass Players & Drummers
An interactive workshop with recording and touring professionals John Ferraro & Steve Duben.
The workshop is an interactive session incorporating recording and performance essentials for the Bass and Drums. The principles of
tracking live sessions and the relationship between the real
time elements laid down by bass and drums, to create new, rhythmical and melodic foundations, for soloists to do their thing!
These ideals will be considered and demonstrated by John Ferraro and Steve Duben. A practical approach to constructing solid musical ideas for bass and drums.
Bassist Steve Duben is an endorsing artist
for Music Man basses. Born in Georgetown, British Guyana, he has played with Dianna Krall, Dale Jacobs, Martha Reeves, Ray Griff & Tommy Banks.
Drummer John Ferraro is an endorsing artist for DW Drums, Zildjian, and Evans Drumheads. This Los Angeles based A-List session player has recorded and performed with Larry Carlton, Rod Stewart, Boz Skaggs, Carly Simon & George Benson and many others.

2. LISTEN, LOAD & LEARN
This workshop encourages students to listen to selections streamed on the music page, then download the sheet music so that they can do the advance work get further training at the workshop. Selections can be based on intermediate or advanced playing levels.
Steve & Paul also demonstrate their unique "bottom-up" composing style utilizing the original tracks from their cd on laptop.

Saxophonist/vocalist and endorsing artist Paul Wainwright demonstrates his live set-up and includes a special segment on the TC Helicon VoiceLive, a powerful voice/instrument processor which has vast possibilities on stage and in the studio.
